1066 Pipes and Drums agm dinner

1066 Pipes & Drums held their annual Regimental Dinner on Saturday evening at Leeford Place Hotel.

An excellent meal was enjoyed by band members and their guests, who included Hastings MP Michael Foster and his wife Rosemary, the Mayor of Hastings, Maureen Charlesworth, and Cllr Phil Scott, the band's president, and his wife Caroline.

Pipe Major Jon Bartholomew said he was delighted with the increased profile of the 1066 Pipes and Drums over the past year, adding not many bands can claim they played in front of Royaltyand made history by playing in the grounds of Westminster Palace - all within three months!

Band secretary Piper Tricia Drawbridge was due to stand down at the AGM held the following day, and was warmly thanked for all the work she had put in- and the plethora of e-mails she sent out - over the last two years.

1066 Pipes & Drums look forward to a similarly successful 2008.
