Seven people attended a CRASH Course at the Pestalozzi International Village in Sedlescombe over the weekend to learn priceless life-saving skills.

The two-day course was run by Hastings-based Team Cohesion and featured a number of accident scenarios, with ‘casualties’ sporting realistic bloody make-up.

Andy Sullivan, from Team Cohesion, said: “Seven people attended and we seriously put them through their paces.

“The fire crew from Battle Fire Station attended on Saturday morning and gave a short talk on the extrication equipment they use at Road Traffic Collisions.

“Two of the motorbikes from the Bloodrunners arrived on the Saturday afternoon, however, they did not stay for long because they received a call to collect and deliver blood.

“The scenarios we ran ranged from a lady pinned up by a vehicle against a tree to a motorcyclist under a car with an amputated arm.
