A test for Shoreham's toll bridge...

Herald reader Simon Armstrong sent us this picture, taken on his mobile phone.

Simon said the man drove across to the Red Lion pub side, to find their were two pillars blocking his path.

"He then decided to turn his car around and make the return crossing, scrapping his wing mirrors on the mesh fence and bumping over the concrete blocks all the way back

"By this time quite a audience had formed. I am amazed the bridge took the weight as it is falling apart."
