A259 tragedy closes road for two hours

A 60-YEAR-OLD man was hit by a car and killed as he crossed the A259 at Telscombe Cliffs.

A Nissan Serena was travelling towards Brighton just before 8pm on Sunday when it was in collision with the man at the roundabout junction with Telscombe Cliffs Way.

The driver, a 36-year-old woman from Hove, was unhurt. The road was closed for two hours while investigators examined the crash scene.
