Bag a prize with baggy trousers at Littlehampton's Town Show

BAGGY trousers and pork pie hats will be the dress code for fans of an evergreen 80s band who will be remembered at next month's Littlehampton Town Show.

And while tribute band Ultimate Madness will be on stage with their version of the chirpy chappies, other followers of the ska stars are being invited to strut their stuff, too.

The town council is offering a prize of a signed Madness t-shirt for the best dancer during the tribute band's second set at the show, on Saturday, September 12.

It would be madness not to take part, and participants simply have to turn up dressed like the band's members. They will be judge by town mayor Mark Butler, town council community resources chairman Dr James Walsh and Darren Bennett, who helped to make the competition possible.

Darren lives in the Littlehampton area and is a DJ for Madness at their shows, including performing at the recent Madstock festival in London.

He said: "When I found out the Town Show was having a tribute to Madness, I took the initiative to get the band to sign a t-shirt to add something extra special to the show."
