Bexhill In Bloom up for tourism award

Bexhill In Bloom has been nominated in tourism awards which encompass the South East of England.

A widest-ever range of businesses from across the region has been shortlisted for this year's prestigious Tourism ExSEllence Awards.

These also include the South Lodge Hotel and Goodwood's Cass Sculpture Foundation in West Sussex, plus Heath Farm and the Brighton Festival in E Sussex, to name just a few.

The winners will be announced and the Awards presented at a glittering gala dinner to be hosted at the exclusive Wentworth Club, Surrey, on Thursday, October 22 2009.

The Tourism ExSEllence Awards recognise excellence, quality and innovation achieved over the last 18 months and Award categories cover all sectors of the industry, from Bed & Breakfast businesses to large exclusive hotels and visitor experiences.

A brand new award has been introduced for 2009 '“ 'Tourism Event of the Year' attracting some of the best events in the south east including The Isle of Wight Walking Festival, The Brighton Festival and the Family Fun events at Ascot Racecourse. With a further 16 categories, including 'Sports Tourism', 'Best Tourism Experience' and 'Business Tourism', the Tourism ExSEllence Awards are the premier awards for the tourism industry in the South East, managed by Tourism South East. Winners in this region will go on to compete in the national EnjoyEngland Awards for Excellence in 2010.
