Please do not forget all the recycling units and the textile banks at Levetts Lane all operate 7 days a week and the Bodiam Secondhand Bookshop at Bodiam Castle. All the income from the shop will be used to fund the pond rejuvenation project. Most of the time it is run by the wife of the number three at Bodiam Castle, Alan Batter. It is very much a team at Bodiam Castle.

The Levetts Lane Residents Association Community’s last event is on December 8. The evening wil start at 5pm, Santa will arrive at 5.30pm to meet the children in his grotto and receive a gift and have their photo taken plus hot food for everyone phone 01580 831974.

What a bonfire night at the Castle Inn, but I was very sorry to see on the top of the bonfire that Bodiam Castle was sold. All the hundreds that would be out of work in the National Trust at Bodiam and Ken the guy. I am told that he has the name of the man who has many paerts, ken Blanch, who put in a lot of work with others to make it one of the best.

Members of Bodiam Villlage Senior Citizens Christmas Fund do hope t get the presents out before Christmas (that the fund knows about) for the over 65’s. If anyone would like information please do not hesitate to ring 01580 830211/830632/830782/830462.

Claremont Senior School in the village is to have a choir service at St Giles on December 12 at 3.30pm. All are welcome but get to t he church early.

I have advance warning of a planned power cut in Bodiam on Tuesday December 11 from 10.30am to 12.30pm and on Thursday December 13 from 3pm to 5pm. The work being undertake in the replacement of high voltage power cable.
