Bognor residents asked for views on crime

CRIME-FIGHTING priorities are being sought from Bognor Regis residents.

A new survey asks them to put in order of importance in their area; domestic violence, hate crime, violent crime, anti-social behaviour, vandalism and graffiti, burglary, theft, alcohol misuse, drug crime and road safety.

The results will influence the work of the Safer Arun Partnership during the next year.

The survey can be filled out online at www.arun.gov.uk or www.saferarun.co.uk or in paper form at Bognor Regis Town Hall.

Copies will also be available from police community support officers and police stations as well as roadshows being held by the partnership.

Cllr Roger Elkins, a member of the partnership, said: "We are lucky to live in a very safe part of the country, but at the same time there are issues that need to be addressed.

"In this time of limited budgets, it has never been more important to ensure that our resources are directed where they are most needed."
