Butlin's is booming

The first guest will move into Wave next May, the company has revealed.

The hotel with 215 bedrooms and 29 apartments over seven floors is being built at a cost of £25m on the holiday resort’s western boundary close to the High Street.

It will be third hotel Butlin’s will have opened in Bognor and follows the success of the Shoreline and Ocean hotels.

But the holiday company is continuing to plough money into its seafront site.

The Shoreline Hotel is getting a new sandpit and water play area as part of a £12m investment at the three Butlin’s sites around the country next year.

The firm’s investments are paying off. A record year for sales in 2010 has been exceeded by more than two per cent this year. Sales are already nine per cent ahead for 2012 compared to 12 months ago.
