Festival organiser Ian Bowden said: “This workshop represents a unique opportunity to witness and learn with an all-time drum legend. The great rock drummer will take you through a wide range of techniques, from paradiddles, beat displacement, and tom-tom technique through African rhythms, double-bass drum technique and much more. Ginger will even take some examples and put them into a band situation in the evening concert at the Rye College.

“If you have been drumming for years or just started out, then we are encouraging professionals and amateurs of all ages and abilities to attend this fascinating and revealing workshop with Ginger.

“It is a generous act when musicians like Ginger Baker, are willing to impart their years of experience and knowledge onto others. Perhaps some of his genius might just rub off on you?”
