Chichester hit by widespread power cuts

There have been widespread power cuts in Chichester.

According to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, the power cut is affecting the following post codes:

PO19 1BE, PO19 6AR, PO19 6BF, PO19 6FA, PO19 6FG, PO19 6FJ, PO19 6FQ, PO19 6SB, PO19 6SD, PO19 6XD, PO19 7NA

It said the power went off at approximately 11am, and engineers were aiming to have the power restored by 2.30pm.

On its website, it said: "We’re sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
