Cooking up new venture

A CAKE business owner will start cake-decorating lessons for children and beginners.

Linda Charge has owned her cake-making shop in North Bersted parade for 15 years, and thinks now is the time to branch out.

A unit just a stone’s throw away from her shop became available, and she will open it on Saturday, as her base for teaching and children’s parties.

“Everybody is so into the Great British Bake Off at the moment, and there has been a growing interest in decorating cakes,” she said.

Her new venture will involve children’s cake-decorating for half-term or birthday parties, cake demonstrations so people can come and see Linda at work, classes on gluten-free and dairy-free cake making, and one-to-one classes for beginners.

Join Linda at the launch on Saturday, from 10am-1pm, where she will be handing out information on the new classes, as well as a chance to win a cupcake.

The new unit for teaching is next to Cake Magic on Chichester Road.
