Burgess Hill man arrested during drink-drive crackdown

A Burgess Hill man was arrested on Saturday (June 7) as part of Operation Dragonfly

A Sussex Police statement says that the number of people ordered to appear in court for drink-related driving offences this month has doubled after 15 motorists were charged over the weekend.

Sussex Police is running Operation Dragonfly to try to tackle drink and drug-related driving across the county this month.

The statement adds that Gregory Pollard, 40, was arrested at 6pm on Saturday after his car was involved in a crash in Manor Road, Burgess Hill.

Pollard, of Northway, Burgess Hill, was charged with drink-driving and released on bail to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 25 June.
