Cannabis plants found at South Chailey home

Just before 10am today (Friday 28 February) local officers executed a drugs warrant at a terraced house in Andros Close, South Chailey.

Nine growing cannabis plants and some cannabis ready for use were found, together with associated equipment.

A 60-year old man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

This is the second find of cannabis growing facilities in the area within two days.

A much larger site was found in North Chailey on Wednesday (26 February).

However the two finds are not connected.
