Gordon Gallagher, 49, has been arrested less than 24 hours after the appeal was posted, police have confirmed.
Gallagher, of no fixed address, was sought for failing to answer court bail in relation to numerous ‘romance’ fraud allegations, police said.
He was arrested near Gatwick this morning by the Tactical Enforcement Unit on suspicion of fraud offences and transported to custody, Sussex Police confirmed.
The force has thanked the public for sharing the appeal.
