Man armed with knife breaks into Bognor flat

The victim was asleep in bed when a downstairs window was smashed and a man walked into the bedroom holding a knife, police said.
He walked through the property before returning to the bedroom and stealing £30 cash and left through the broken window, according to police. There were no reported injuries.

Hide AdThe suspect has been described by police as around 6ft, between 20-30 years of age with dark hair and wearing dark clothing with a red handkerchief over his face.
Police said a 26-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and released on bail until April 5 pending further enquiries.
Investigator Tom Carpenter said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw or heard anything suspicious.
“Witnesses can report online quoting reference 38 of 23/02.”
