The team at Specsavers, in Montague Street, hosted a cycle marathon and fundraising day for two charities, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and BBC Children in Need.
More than £1,500 was raised after staff took turns to cycle as far as they could on exercise bikes outside the store and a range of baked sweet treats were offered to encourage donations from the community.

“It was wonderful seeing all of the staff get involved and it created a real buzz in store.
“Rockinghorse and Children in Need do a tremendous amount of work supporting disabled children and those with life-threatening conditions, so it’s vital we continue to support them.
