DELIGHT AT OPENING OF NEW MEDICAL CENTRE

STATE-of-the-art medical centre in Pulborough, which has been open for just two months, had its official opening on Friday when the ribbon was cut by the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, Hugh Wyatt, who also unveiled a commemorative plaque.

The distinctive three-storey building houses outstanding facilities and will benefit thousands of patients across a wide area.

It provides not only GP services, community nurses and health visitors but also has an out-of-hours doctors' service, osteopathy, physiotherapy consultants and a range of treatment and consulting rooms. The ground floor houses a pharmacy, Brooks Day Care Centre, an out-of-hours centre, community nurses and health visitors.

All Pulborough Medical Group services are on the first floor, where consulting rooms, treatment rooms, a minor surgery suite, reception and waiting room are situated. The Mary How Trust (cancer screening charity) is also on the first floor.

The new Pulborough Medical Centre was described as 'a remarkable achievement' by the Lord Lieutenant of West Sussex, Hugh Wyatt, at Friday's opening.
