Devonshire Road closed off
Sussex Police closed off Devonshire Road on this morning because of severe weather conditions.
Traders, shop workers and office staff were advised not to walk down Devonshire Road because of the danger of flying debris or glass as gale force winds battered already weakened shop windows and fascias.
Traffic, including delivery vans, was blocked off at the Marina and across Devonshire Road just near the junction with Parkhurst Road.
