Driver killed in crash named

THE man who was killed in the early hours of Wednesday, September 30 when his Citroen Saxo collided with a Chrysler Voyager in Barnhorn Road has been identified.

The crash victim is named as Christopher Mead, aged 30, of Robin Hill, Bexhill.

The collision happened shortly before 12.30am.

Emergency services attended, but the driver of the Saxo was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the the Chrysler, a private hire vehicle, received slight injuries.

Police are still appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Woodcote.
