Durrington sandwich business reprieved

A HOME-BASED sandwich business threatened with closure after neighbours' complained has earned a reprieve.

Nibbles, run by 29-year-old Wendi Green and her partner, Mike Sullen, from the garage of their family home in Acacia Avenue, Durrington, has been granted one-year temporary permission by planners.

The business was given six months to move in November after complaints about noise from a refrigerated vehicle and disturbances from early-morning deliveries.

But a new application was discussed at the council's committee meeting on Thursday, April 19, when members heard how Miss Green had addressed neighbours' concerns.

In a statement to the council, she said alternative parking at a separate location had been found for the refrigerated delivery van and the number of supplier deliveries had been reduced.
