Elderly to have their say on housing

OLDER people and carers are to have the opportunity to have their say on housing and support services.

They are invited to give their views on the draft Housing and Support Strategy for Older People and Carers in Hastings and Rother.

Steve Hare, Chief Executive of Age Concern East Sussex, said: "This consultation is a real opportunity for older people in the Hastings and Rother area to have a say.

"The draft housing strategy has taken on board what older people and carers want and are likely to need in the years to come.

"What's important now, is that the final strategy is relevant to people's aspirations - that it meets their needs.

"I would urge everyone to come along and have their voice heard."

The draft Housing and Support Strategy has been developed by East Sussex County Council, its partners and local older people and carers.
