Evening will help visually impaired people in Bognor

BLIND and partially sighted young people are to have their first Bognor Regis open evening.

The 4Sight charity is holding the special session at its Victoria Drive resource centre from 4pm-7pm next Thursday.

Staff and helpers with direct experience of the situations with which visually impaired young people and their families have to cope will be present.

They will be able to discuss any specific requirements and specialist computer software as well as show them around the centre and its adapted equipment, kitchen facilities and gym.

Tessa Drew, 4Sight’s fundraising manager, said: “4Sight hope the evening will be a chance to show parents of children suffering sight loss that we are available locally to assist with many of the difficulties young children with this disability suffer.

“We are also available to offer their parents support and advice.”

Low vision assessments will also be available on the night if they are pre-booked on 01243 838002.
