Firefighters finish a mountainous ride in Littlehampton
A team of ten Hampshire firefighters completed the final 100-mile leg of their six day epic cycle ride on Saturday (October 4), finishing in Littlehampton.
They were raising cash for The Fire Fighters Charity and handed over their cash from the campaign to the organisation’s Marine Court rehabilitation centre, in Fitzalan Road.

Event organiser Paul Wilkinson, a firefighter based in Havant, said: “Looking back at what we achieved, it’s quite phenomenal.
“I wasn’t expecting we would have so many hills to ride up.
“We actually climbed about 28,000ft – which is almost the height of Mount Everest!
“We are really pleased with what we have achieved.”
The money will be split between The Fire Fighters Charity’s three centres, which offer rehabilitation services to injured firefighters.
