Flower trail to replace Newick Spring Show 2021

Picture perfect scenes can be enjoyed at the weekend thanks to a spring flower trail being organised by Newick Horticultural Society.

Coronavirus restrictions has led to its annual spring show being cancelled, but members of the society were still eager to commemorate the coming of spring with the community.

On Saturday, March 27, the society is encouraging the people of Newick to decorate their homes and front gardens for the Special Spring Flower Trail.

Society member, Patricia Pioli said: “We were heartbroken to have to call off the show this year but we hope that the Special Spring Flower Trail will be embraced by the village.

What you display is entirely up to you, a vase on a windowsill or bulbs in a garden pot, a painted or coloured picture - just anyway you believe celebrates spring!”
