Fundraising concert to support hospices

Strictly Come Dancing finalist and BBC Proms presenter Katie Derham will host a major concert which aims to raise much-needed funds for Friends of Sussex Hospices.

The celebratory evening of orchestral music and song will be held at Cumnor House School, Danehill on March 5 starting at 6.30pm with a complimentary glass of Prosecco.

Taking part are soprano Dame Felicity Lott and mezzo sopranos Jean Rigby and Sally Matthews together with the choral group Viva Voce.

Tickets cost £50 to include a light supper. The concert finishes at 10.15pm.

All the money raised goes to Friends of Sussex Hospices, which supports 12 hospices in the county.

The event is being sponsored by Adams & Remers solicitors, Coppard Plant Hire Ltd, Folkington’s Juices, Holroyd Howe contract catering and IpsoFacto Investor.

Organisers thank Christian Heinrich, headmaster of Cumnor House School for his hospitality allowing the concert to be held.
