Halloween safety drive

Arun District Council and the police are making plans to ensure this year's halloween and bonfire night festivities are safe and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Bognor Regis traders will display posters in the run-up to October 31, warning under 16s that the sale of flour and eggs to them will be restricted if they believe the items are going to be used to cause mischief.

According to police, reports of flour and egg throwing have unfortunately been on the rise in previous years.

Police have also said they will increase patrols and will be carrying out their own operations.

Posters have also been produced which people can put up to say they don't want trick or treaters calling at their homes. The posters are available from Bognor Regis and Littlehampton police stations.

If you do experience any problems over the halloween or bonfire night period it can be reported to the Council's anti-social behaviour team on 01903 737870 or [email protected]
