The whole community is invited to join the St Barnabas House fundraising store, in Wick Street, on October 15, as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.

A spokesman for St Barnabas House hospice, in Goring, said that the Wick shop was one of the charity’s most successful, having generated hundreds of thousands of pounds during its history.

Last year alone, the store made a profit of £105,000.

Sally Brighton, director of retail development for St Barnabas House, who will be joining the celebrations, said: “This is a very special event for St Barnabas House as it gives us the chance to celebrate the Wick shop’s amazing achievements over 15 years.

“This is a lovely opportunity to thank the local community and the shop team who have all contributed to the shop’s success, including our wonderful volunteers, without whom we couldn’t run the shop. We continue to have an urgent need for stock donations and always welcome new volunteers.

“We hope as many people as possible will come and join us on Wednesday, October 15, to join in our 15th birthday fun and celebrations.”

Shop manager Michelle Shepherd-Ede and her full team of staff and 15 volunteers will all be dressing as characters from Alice in Wonderland, and offering tea and cake for everyone who drops by.
