Have a '˜rubbish' Christmas...

WASTE and recycling collections will continue between Boxing Day and the New Year '“ one day later than normal.

Rother District Council collectors will be emptying bins throughout the holiday season, with the only exception being Christmas Day.

That means collections for the week commencing Monday, December 26 (Boxing Day) will be a day later. So, if your waste bin is usually collected on a Monday, it will now be picked up on Tuesday. If it’s normally a Tuesday, it will be picked up on Wednesday, and so on.

There will be no changes to collection days from the week commencing Monday January, 2. The only difference is that the garden/card wheelie bin won’t be collected – but Rother will be putting on an additional rubbish (black bin) collection that week instead.

Don’t put out your green bin that week, but put the black bin out instead if you have extra Christmas waste you want taken away.

Collections return to normal from Monday January, 9.
