Help rescue abandoned golden retrievers

Lisa Smart, founder of the charity, said, ‘“We were asked for our help with a view to rescuing one or two but I was not going to choose who had the chance of a better life here in the UK and who had to stay to an uncertain fate.

“So the answer was a simple one, as I looked into their beautiful eyes I thought we will take all eleven.

“ Golden retrievers do not do well in these conditions.

“ The charity has facilitated their move to a private facility where they are all being cared for and have all received veterinary treatment.

“This is a massive rescue for our small charity but we are fully committed to their welfare.”

The total cost of the rescue and travel to the UK will exceed £11,000 but Lisa says it is worth it.

She added, “To us, each precious life is worth every penny.

“We have rescued eight retrievers from Turkey and they are all doing so well in their loving forever homes.”

Lisa is now appealing to dog lovers to help finance the rescue.

She said, “If you love dogs and could help us in any way secure the future of these golden 11 please donate.”
