Help shape your local NHS

Have you used an NHS service recently? Have you been to a GP surgery, referred to a hospital or received care from a community nurse? Maybe your relative has? If so, it is your experience the NHS wants to hear about.

The Horsham and Mid Sussex Health Network is a virtual group of patients, citizens, public and voluntary groups who are interested in getting more involved in how services are planned and designed.

It doesn’t need a huge amount of time and your level of involvement is entirely up to you. Being part of the network could mean just filling out a few online surveys per year, right through to attending regular meetings in person.

It will allow you to give feedback about your experiences in a structured way as the Horsham and Mid Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) monitors and redesigns services for the future.

Members of the CCG Health Network will receive regular newsletters, can share ideas and views about local health services, stay up-to-date with specific health topics of interest and sign up for focus groups, consultations and surveys about healthcare.

Dr Minesh Patel, lead GP for Horsham and Mid Sussex CCG, explained: “In the past year, people from the Health Network have shared their views on muscle and back pain care, maternity services, skin care, dementia services and living with long term health conditions.

“These first hand experiences have made a real difference to our plans and influenced what future NHS services look like to patients. Only real engagement with and from the public can ensure services continue to improve.”

To join the CCG Health Network please fill out the online form on the Get Involved page at www.horshamandmidsussexccg.nhs.uk or telephone us on 01293 600300 extension 3965.
