Please be aware that Iden now has a 30 mph speed limit and the police are conducting regular speed checks.

The Mobile Library will be at the village hall on Monday from 12.05 to 12.45 as usual. The last Coffee morning before Christmas will be from 11 am to 1.30 pm. We are told that there will be extra special attractions and everyone is invited to drop in and meet their friends.

The New Year dates are 7th and 21st January.

Next Friday, 14th, Ian Hunter will speak about “Rajastan and Gujarat Tigers, Lions and Cranes”. This is organised by the Iden and District Natural History Society and is the latest of the Winter Lectures. All meetings begin at 7.30 in the Village Hall. Visitors to lectures, £3, subscriptions are £12 p.a.

St Michael’s School Nativity Play will be on Wednesday and Thursday 19th and 20th at 2 pm in Iden Church.

The Christingle Service will be on Sunday 16th at 3 pm in aid of the Children’s Society. There will be refreshments afterwards in the Old Hall.

The mid-week services will be on Wednesday at 9.30 am and 3.30.pm as usual in church.

The 9.30 am service for the second Sunday of Advent will be Parish Communion led by the vicar.
