Next Friday, 9th November, in Iden village hall at 7.30pm, the Iden and District Natural History Society will hold the Breda and Ernie Burt Memorial Lecture. Patrick Roper will speak about Brede High Woods.

On Monday 12th November, the Iden and Playden Garden Society will meet for a Winter Lecture in Iden village hall to hear how “Colour and Interest all Year Round” may be achieved. Mr. Ken Turner will show us how. Members pay £1, visitors and guests pay £2.

An advance date for your diaries is Sunday 18th November, when the Orchard Cattery will have an Open Day from 11 am to 3 pm. This will be organised by the Cats Protection league. Please phone 280 378 for more details.

A need has arisen. A volunteer driver is sought on the last Friday of each month to take people from Tilling Green to the River Haven Lunch Club. Pick - up would be about 12 noon, return at 2.30 pm. A carvery lunch will be provided for the driver in exchange for this help. Please contact Pat on 280 589 if you are able to help. The next date would be 30th November.

The beautiful, original Iden Calendars are on sale in the Iden Stores. Perfect for yourself or as a gift for friends, especially anyone who has moved out of the village. All proceeds are for the village shop this year.

The mid-week services are at 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The 9.30am service will be the Family service to which all are welcome. This will be led by the Vicar.
