It's all for fun and fun for all

A FUN and active day was enjoyed at Freedom Leisure in Bexhill at the weekend.

The Active Saturday was held to raise awareness of the work that Rother Children’s Centre does within the community and to promote all the energetic and exciting junior activity courses introduced at the leisure centre.

These include trampolining, and basketball, and for adults there also are new classes including Zumba and Kettlebells.

Local families were able to get active with tumble tots, jelly fish making and even tried their hand at circus skills.

While children joined in junior squash aimed at four to 11-year-olds, grown-ups were able to enjoy the class tasters, ranging from the calming tai chi to the Latin new dance craze of Zumba.

Sadie Yapp, membership advisor, said: “It was a wonderful day and so great to see the centre full of local families enjoying the activities from painting to the new Saturday roller disco.

“I would like to thank all the staff from the Rother Childrens Centre and the Instructors from our centre for making it so much fun. It was so nice to see faces from the community like Tesco, Nhs Trainers , Plant a seed foundation, and a special mention and thank you to SLM Toyota for supporting our event and providing the superb prizes for our free prize draw.”
