It's ruff on the dogs

I WOULD like to start a campaign against animal fashion.

I wasn't at all bothered by the fact dog clothes were made and actually thought it was quite cool and got my dog a T-shirt.

But over the months I've realised lots of people use their dogs as a fashion accessory and I don't agree with it.

People pay a fortune to buy hoodies, dresses and even shoes!

But why should dogs have to wear clothes? A coat that keeps them warm on winter walks are acceptable, but people buy necklaces, hats and even sunglasses for them. It's outrageous!

Dogs aren't alive to be treated like mannequins! Soon everyone will want a dog to dress up and more and more will end up in rescue centres.

Celebrities such as Paris Hilton disgust me. They spoil their pets by stuffing them into a designer dog bag with paparazzi cameras flashing in their eyes. This is cruelty.

I'm sure the dogs would prefer to be on a lead or off running along the beach rather than on the red carpet.

When I got my dog a T-shirt I didn't think of the bad points. But if you do think, would you like to be dressed in tight clothes and stuffed in a handbag? This new craze should be banned.
