Leaking door alerts public to Rustington flood

WATER was spotted seeping from underneath the door of a Rustington business on Saturday (September 12).

A neighbour noticed the flood, at Curves Gym, in Churchill Court, The Street, at about 4pm, and called the fire brigade.

Jon Mays, station manager at East Preston fire station, said: "Because of the actions of the conscientious member of the public, we were on the scene quickly and were able to isolate the water and electricity supplies, and limiting the severity of the damage caused."

The gym has since re-opened for business.
