Life at Shopwyke Lakes ticks all the boxes

Elaine Hart was born and bred in Chichester, and after living in various locations around the country over the past 15 years, has finally returned home for good after buying her first property at CALA Homes’ Shopwyke Lakes.

Elaine, 34, has moved into a brand-new two bedroom home at the development on Shopwhyke Road.

She said: “I work for a well-known motor company, looking after the VIP programme, at their Goodwood HQ. I needed something that was close to work, but also within easy reach of London. I thought it was time to take the leap and purchase my first home so I had been looking at local developments over summer 2016, but I just couldn’t get excited about the properties I saw. I drove past CALA’s site when the hoardings first went up, and quickly registered my interest.

“I was invited to an open day in mid-December and booked an early morning appointment. I was expecting to take a brief look and then had arranged to meet a friend for lunch in London afterwards. It’s safe to say I was impressed – I was still in the show home at midday, but luckily my friend could sense my excitement and instead arranged to meet me halfway in Guildford for a late lunch.

“I reserved my home shortly after, and while the buying process can never run entirely smoothly, the CALA sales team were fantastic throughout and always kept me up to speed on progress as my home was being built. In fact, everyone I’ve met has been professional, approachable and always willing to go the extra mile, and have made the process of purchasing a property, moving in and the after service a complete joy!

“I love being so close to the coast, nestled in the South Downs and only 90 minutes from central London. Plus I can now cycle to the office too! I’m incredibly proud to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I’ve settled into life at Shopwyke Lakes well – I love my new home and so does everyone who visits me. There’s a real sense of community here; I’ve met all of my neighbours as well as the on-site team, who have all been very welcoming. I couldn’t imagine buying a home anywhere else!”
