Line-up of ideas for peace week in Arun

The intention of the festival between November 15 and 23 is to celebrate the diversity of the district.

Bognor Regis-based Peaceworks is organising the week with support from Arun District Council and the Arun Community Cohesion Group.

Arun peace week chairman Chris Seaton said: "Arun would not be the place it is without all its creative expressions of life.

"Arun peace week is the community festival of the year to celebrate together what we love about our area.

"From November 15 to 23, events celebrating diversity, peace-making and a future with hope will be taking place all across Arun."

But, he added, it could only be a success if organisations and individuals put their ideas into practice.

These could include art exhibitions, friendship football matches or music concerts.

Senior district councillor Paul Dendle is a member of the community cohesion group.

Anyone with ideas is asked to submit them by July 31 to Jona Meyer or Chris Seaton on 01243 820604.
