Little Common burglary

ONE THOUSAND dollars were stolen in a burglary in Barnhorn Road.

Sussex Police have released further details of the crime which happened, as reported in the Observer, on Friday June 18 while the owner was out during the day.

She arrived home just before 5.30pm to find cash and jewellery had been stolen, including a gold ring with five pearls, a gold ring with three diamonds, and a ring with blue stones. There was also a gold necklace with a pearl star pendant.

The jewellery was inside a box which had PE WOOLEY written on the top in white paint.

It is believed the entire property was searched thoroughly during the burlary, and left behind was a pair of scissors used in the offence and dropped by the back door.

A white male aged between 20-30 years was seen in the immediate area at the time acting suspiciously - police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 0845 6070 999 quoting serial 1451 18/06/10
