Littlehampton garden fire

A LITTLEHAMPTON garden was severely damaged by fire yesterday (Wednesday, May 19).

Fire crews were called to the back of a house in Gosden Road, at about 7.50pm, where a garden shed, fencing and hedging were well alight.

They spent more than 30 minutes putting out the flames, damping down and turning over the affected areas.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the blaze had been caused by accident.
