Lovers' ball for charity

GET IN the mood for love and help out a charity at the same time.

A Valentines Ball in the elegant setting of Pelham House in Lewes on February 16 will help raise money for the Neuroblastoma Society, a charity dedicated to research into a rare childhood cancer.

Casanovas are being advised to book early for the ball which will include a welcome drink, canapis, a three-course meal by the restaurant

Circa and entertainment and an auction, live music and dancing.

Tables are for 10 people so groups looking for a good night, those wanting to impress a date, or people looking for love and want to make a difference to children suffering with this type of cancer are promised an exciting time.

Neuroblastoma is a tumour, which arises either in the

sympathetic nervous system or closely associated adrenal glands and is usually, although not always located in the abdomen.

Organiser Laura Daniel said: 'I was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when I was one and, after treatment, I was very lucky to come out the other side.

'There is so much we still need to know about the disease to raise the survival rate of suffering children and every penny raised for the charity will go towards research and making a difference.'

Tickets cost 60 and all profits raised will go directly to the charity.
