Make poverty history
People from Shoreham's churches and faith groups joined together to support the Make Poverty History campaign, along with organisations around the country, who formed white bands encircling major buildings to draw attention to the needs of the world's poor before the G8 Summit started yesterday.
In Shoreham, St Mary's Church was the focal point, being surrounded by a group linked by a white band of paper showing Make Poverty History.

Hide AdPassers-by signed cards addressed to the Prime Minister, via Christian Aid and CAFOD, calling for fairer trade terms.
On Friday, led by Ashley Ralston, people had joined in a prayer vigil at St Peter's Church, Shoreham, for the success of the campaign.
