Man attacked in public toilet

A 61-year-old man was attacked in a public toilet in Lewes.

The assault took place at around 3pm at the bottom of Station Street, near the train station, on Thursday last week.

The victim, who suffered facial injuries, has since been released from hospital.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and causing GBH and released on police bail pending further investigation.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
