A 21-year-old man, who stabbed a grandmother to death because he blamed her for losing his job, has been jailed for life.

A 21-year-old man, who stabbed a grandmother to death because he blamed her for losing his job, has been jailed for life.

Jacky Marshall, 56, from South-bourne was attacked and killed by the sacked employee during a children's party at McDonald's fast food restaurant in Terminus Road, Chichester, in 2005.

Mentally ill Shane Freer, 21, of Batchmere, near Chichester, ad-mitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at Lewes Crown Court. He denied murder.

The court heard that Freer carried out an 'horrific, frenzied, ferocious and crazed' knife attack in front of lunchtime diners in April last year.
