Murder trial jury continues to deliberate on verdict

The jury in a trial where one man stabbed his wife four times in front their children in Bognor have been sent home for the night.

Hajrudin Hasanovic dragged his wife Cassandra out of a car in Normanton Avenue and stabbed her in the chest, twice in the back, and in the buttocks. She died of her injuries after the attack on July 29 last year.

Hasanovic pleaded guilty to manslaughter with diminished responsibility but denies the charge of murder.

The jury at Lewes Crown Court retired at 11.40am today (April 30) but were sent home at about 4.30pm.

They will continue to deliberate at 10.30am tomorrow morning.
