Music fundraiser for St Michael's hospice

You've heard of marathon-running to raise money for St Michael's Hospice - but how about marathon music?

A 12 Hour Sponsored Play, organised by James Cruttenden, is to be held on Saturday October 18 with youngsters from all over Hastings and Rother taking part.

Pupils from East Sussex Music Service will start their Saturday in their usual way by playing at Hastings and Rother Area Music Centre but this time their music will be generously sponsored by family and friends.

The music 'relay' will then continue at St John's Church, Pevensey Road, St Leonards on Sea when groups of well-known local musicians will be singing and playing from approximately 12.30 to 8.30pm. Entrance to the Church is free, but donations will be very welcome and refreshments will be available.

James said "I am delighted with the response from local musicians who have needed no encouragement to support this very worthy cause. Please come along and support the day, even if it's just for a short time '“ we will be delighted to see you!"
