Natalie has been heavily involved in peer mentoring at Bexhill High, and is delighted to have been recognised for her work. She will shortly receive her certificate in school assembly.

Writing in the school magazine, Natalie said, ' I truly believe peer mentors can offer lots of help and understanding to benefit any school. We offer help and support to anyone who needs it. We are the ears and the eyes for those who need us to help them at their level, at their pace. This is worthy support that any school would benefit from.'

Shine is a national festival celebrating all the talents in all young people taking place between July 6 and 10, 2009.

Embracing the energy and enthusiasm of young people, teachers and youth workers, Shine Week creates a buzz across the country and is a really exciting way to celebrate the talent that every young person has, which could for instance be in the performing arts, but could also be in technology, science or working in the community.
