Battle Neighbourhood Plan Survey Form: Some of you may have noticed as you journey in and around the town that the returns date for the survey has been extended until 7 March. As with all matters of this nature which tend to try and take the community forward in a way which reflects their wants and needs we have had a few teething problems. I can hear some saying 'yes we noticed', and as a member of the Steering Group I apologise. As they say, 'even the best laid plans...', but it is hoped that is all behind us. To make sure that everyone has their chance to air their views, despite the difficulties, you now have until 7 March to send off that all important survey. So I urge evryone in Netherfield, if you can spare the time, to complete the survey and that way you will make a difference.

Battle Neighbourhood Plan Website: The Neighbourhood Plan, in today’s technologically advanced market place, needs to be easily accessible to the community at large. Residents, workers and visitors should be able to find out about the burning questions of the day, as regards the Plan, such as “What’s happening” regarding the survey and its results Therefore, we have what we think is an easy to use “website” in production, which will hopefully enable residents and the wider community to find the information they need about our progress. Unfortunately, it is not “live” as you read this column, but hopefully will be accessible by the time the survey results are produced. Our aim is to strip it of all the unnecessary wording and graphics which can sometimes get in the way of the reason for looking at it in the first place. So, watch this space.
