Netherfield Church - We were delighted to host the marriage of Jamie Winter and Vikki Gammon last Sunday. The church was beautifully decorated in the bride’s colours of burgundy and cream and thankfully, the sun shone on the local couple. The service was conducted by Father Christopher Channer and afterwards Mr and Mrs Winter left for their reception in a classic car with the guests transported in a London bus! This is the first of three weddings we have this year and it is great to see our church at its best for such happy events.

The service this Sunday July 14 is a Holy Communion at Netherfield and please note this change from the usual schedule due to the Brightling Horse Trials which will see Brightling village too busy to host their usual service. Sunday July 21 will be a Holy Communion at Mountfield and Sunday July 28 a Holy Communion at Netherfield as usual. All services are at 10 am.

Another reminder that we are holding a Coffee Morning to raise funds on Saturday July 27 from 10am. until noon. This is to give everyone good warning and to thank Jane Chater for offering to host it at Oak Lodge, Saxonwood Road, Battle where there will be a warm welcome for everyone. Paul Smith, Churchwarden.

White Hart - There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, free of charge any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.
