Ninfield Local History Group is linking up with the Ninfield Youth Forum and want to interview ex Ninfield United football players and record their memories of playing for the village in years gone by. This is part of our Heritage Lottery Fund project entitled Ninfield - The History of a Rural Village. If you, or someone you know played for the Ninfield football team please get in touch. Contact John Cheshire on 01424 892248.

A note of thanks for Ninfield Methodist Church: Ninfield Methodist Church, and many friends, have enjoyed a wonderful June at the Chapel in the village. As previously mentioned we celebrated 142 years of the life of the Chapel and in mid- June remembered this occasion, and our Christian presence in Ninfield, with a celebration service and then a tea attended by around 35 people. Then at the end of June the Salvation Army/Hastings Temple Band and Songsters led an amazing worship - time remembering our links with their founder William Booth and his wife Catherine. We seemed to raise the rafters of the church with around 60 people present including the Salvation Army Band. Wow! We are always pleased to welcome visitors to our church so come along anytime and enjoy our Christian tradition. There will be more news about our Harvest events later in the year.
